Been a while since I made a blog post and I can’t quite post the stuff I’ve been working on professionally, BUT! I have some works that I did almost a year ago when I started at FXVille. My art test was my first foray into the Unreal engine, so my boss trained me up […]

Tribute
Lots of people believe that Walt Disney’s Snow White was the first feature-length animated film. Well it wasn’t. That distinction belongs to Charlotte “Lotte” Reiniger’s The Adventures of Prince Achmed (1926). It was technically a stop-motion film using beautiful, ornate silhouettes. A couple of years ago (holy cow, YEARS??) I made this: It was based on one of my favorite works of art by Toulouse Lautrec: I decided a while ago that I would do another homage based on the same piece, but a different month. This time, though, I did a bit more research and […]
Spider Lady
For this piece, I used the God and Goddess Vishnu and Lakshmi as reference for the pose as well as flower imagery. The spider itself is based on the Venusta Orchard spider – and as terrified as I am of spiders – this one is really pretty!
Hearts
Finally finished this little piece I started like a year ago. Lot’s of fun!
